My Personal Portfolio
From a graduate portfolio to the foundation for NMO Digital, shaped by continuous design, development and the confidence to build for others.
The project
Originally built to help me start my career, my portfolio became a place to develop my design judgement and technical confidence. I have kept rebuilding it as my work has evolved, carrying what I learned into NMO Digital and my first client projects.

My learning needed a place to live.
As I was graduating from my Creative Computing degree in 2023, I needed a way to show what I could do. My CV told part of the story, but I wanted somewhere to bring together university projects, UX certifications and the thinking behind the work. I had learned React and web development during the course, and I wanted to put that learning into practice by building the website myself.
A portfolio helped open the first door.
The site gave people something concrete to explore alongside my CV: the projects I had worked on, what I was learning and how I approached a problem. It helped me secure my first role. That made the value of a well-considered digital presence real to me, not just as a design exercise, but as a way to make experience visible and give someone a reason to start a conversation.
Each rebuild sharpened how I work.
The portfolio has been through several iterations since that first version. As my experience grew, I revisited how the work was organised, what needed explaining and how the design should represent me. Building it myself meant working through the details as well as the overall direction. It became a place to practise the full process: understand the need, try an approach, ship it, then return with better questions.
Build for the next update, too.
A portfolio only stays useful if it can keep up with the work. I developed content management tools for project case studies, smaller builds, imagery and the information about me. That separated routine publishing from changes to the underlying design and code. The CMS was part of making the product maintainable, rather than the reason for building it: I wanted a site I could keep shaping as my practice developed.
Leave room for the smaller experiments.
The portfolio also gives my side projects a place alongside larger pieces of work. Builds such as a job application tracker and a football poster maker show how I explore practical problems in my own time. Writing about them adds context to the finished interface: what prompted the idea, what I tried and what I learned. Together, they offer a broader picture of how I think and build.
The confidence became client work.
Repeatedly designing, building and improving my own site gave me the confidence to ask a different question: could I help someone else do this? My first client opportunity, Athletic AbhyAn, began with a conversation on the drive to play cricket. It was the first time I carried that experience into a website for somebody else's business, and the start of the client work that became NMO Digital.
The starting point, and an ongoing practice.
This is a self-initiated project, and it remains part of my work. It shows where my approach began: learning by making, caring about the experience and returning to improve it. For someone considering working with me, the portfolio offers more than a list of skills. It is a place to explore the work itself, the decisions behind it and the curiosity I bring to the next challenge.
