Athletic AbhyAn
A website brief that grew into a connected coaching platform, with a native app now in development.
The project
What began as a marketing website has grown into a multi-phase product build and an ongoing product relationship evolving towards a long-term technology partnership. I evolved and applied Athletic AbhyAn's brand across the public platform, then worked with its coaches to build a live athlete portal, phase-three capabilities and a cross-platform native app MVP now in active development.
Athletic AbhyAn is a sport-specific coaching business helping athletes develop through science-backed programmes across cricket, racket sports and hybrid training.

A website brief became a product partnership in the making.
Athletic AbhyAn first asked for a credible marketing website. I could see a wider product problem behind the brief: the brand, content, enquiries and coaching operations were disconnected. I started with the foundation they needed, then stayed close enough to the work for each release to reveal the next useful problem. That is how a website commission became a multi-phase product build.

Phase one: create a foundation the team could run.
I evolved and applied a bolder identity across the digital product, designed and built the public site, and created the CMS and structured onboarding behind it. The team can manage programmes, articles, videos, testimonials, resources and enquiries without asking for a code change. More importantly, the launch gave us a working foundation we could learn from.

The launch uncovered the real product opportunity.
The first release changed our conversations. Instead of discussing pages, we were discussing how athletes receive programmes, how coaches review progress and how the business could support more people without losing its coach-led model. I treated that as a new product problem, not a list of website additions.
Phase two: move coaching beyond the session.
I designed and built a mobile-first portal where athletes can follow assigned programmes, log workouts and assessments, track goals and progress, compare cohort rankings, upload form-check videos and access coaching content. On the other side, coaches can manage athletes, cohorts and programmes through the same connected platform.

Design the product around how the coaches work.
The portal had to reflect Athletic AbhyAn's coaching model. Goals and core programmes remain guided by the team, athlete actions sit inside clear permissions, and different cohorts and assessment types are handled in the product model. I designed the data, journeys and access rules around those realities instead of forcing the business into generic fitness software.

Client testing became part of the way I build.
The first portal UAT round covered 61 checks and surfaced 14 actionable findings, all of which were fixed. Feedback changed the product itself, from who can set goals to how programme adherence and assessment categories should work. Each review gave me a sharper problem to solve and helped us decide what deserved the next phase.
Phase three: turn product data into useful action.
Phase three has shipped in a controlled form and is still being refined. I added performance report cards that help athletes and parents understand assessment data, separate coach access scoped to assigned cohorts, and self-serve onboarding. AI-assisted and manual workout builders have also been built, with their release controlled while the remaining coaching workflows are completed.
The product is already moving beyond the browser.
I have built a cross-platform native MVP against the shared product backend, with Home, Workouts, Progress, Rankings and Profile working with real athlete data. It is not a store launch yet. Current work is closing portal parity, strengthening privacy and resilience, validating across devices and preparing the product for beta.
A client relationship that keeps earning its next phase.
I did not hand over a website and disappear. Athletic AbhyAn brings the coaching expertise, business priorities and real-world feedback; I bring product strategy, design, architecture and delivery. We work in phases, test before release and keep the roadmap open to what we learn. The relationship is now evolving towards a longer-term technology partnership, with the next chapter being shaped together.
This is the product work I want to keep building.
For me, product building means starting with the real problem, shipping a useful foundation, watching how people use it and earning the opportunity to solve the harder problem that follows. Athletic AbhyAn now spans an evolved brand, public platform, coaching operations, athlete experience and a native app in active development. The most important result is not the number of features. It is a product and client relationship that can keep evolving together.
